How we’re responding to changes in restrictions.
Throughout the pandemic, we’ve taken all the necessary steps to ensure the safety of everyone shopping and working in our stores. While changes in restrictions means that some safety measures will no longer be a legal requirement, we’ve listened to feedback from customers and our team members, and we know a lot of people remain cautious. In line with the government advice to act carefully, we feel it’s important to continue with certain measures to continue to keep each other safe.
Here’s how we’re making sure everyone feels as safe as possible in our stores -
Continue to wear a face covering in our stores if you can
Although the legal requirement to wear a face covering in England ended on 19 July, the government expects and recommends that people continue to wear a face covering in crowded and enclosed spaces so we’re encouraging our team members and our customers to continue wearing face coverings if you can.
For our customers and team members in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, face coverings remain mandatory unless exempt and until further notice as set out in government guidance.
We’re keeping enhanced hygiene, cleaning, safety and occupancy measures in place
You’ll continue to find sanitiser and wipes at the store entrance. Screens at the checkouts are staying and we’re keeping traffic lights at the entrance in place at our busiest stores too, to help monitor the flow of customers and prevent overcrowding.
You’ll also continue to see social distancing floor markings to remind everyone to be respectful of space.
Thank you for your continued support.
